Renschler SolarioThis egg-sized vario is ideal as a back-up to a main vario, or as a first vario for the pilot on a tight budget. Solar powered means no batteries though you do need to charge it up in the sun / cloud for a few minutes before flying. The Solario is acoustic only and may be configured for rising tone only or for descent tone starting at various sink rates. The tone volume is also settable. All in all a neat bundle of tricks.
